Stress,

Stress is a pressure that we put on ourselves or can feel put under by others around us. Some stress is motivational and can allow us to meet higher standards and achieve greater results but it can also be extremely damaging to a person’s emotional and mental wellbeing when expectations are either too high or unobtainable. Symptoms of stress can include anger, sleeplessness, withdrawal emotionally & socially, depression and lack of self-worth and confidence. Counselling can help reduce stress by learning how to see things from a different perspective, work out what is actually happening vs. what we think is happening and to identify if the expectations can truly be met.
